Very heavy vintage Kabuto or Samurai helmet from the Showa period. These are treasured in Japanese homes as the essence and spirit of the Samurai. There are different styles of Kabuto helmets, and this particular one is in the Hoshi-bachi style. It is decorated with Antlers and a fierce Shishi face in front, and an elaborate dragon on top. The helmet is meant to intimidate but also carries protective symbols on it. It is made of metal and is from Japan.
